2021, a year to remember

23 December 2021

We are celebrating our most successful year yet, with huge new contracts and growing support for community initiatives.

Over the last 12 months we have replaced over 150 new heating systems, giving customers a safe, more efficient and economical solution.

We've also secured four new contracts to fit air source heat pumps to a number of homes in the Scunthorpe area. So far 14 have been installed, providing a more eco-friendly heating system and supporting our aim of being carbon neutral by 2025.

Another substantial contract worth around £1million each year was awarded to our team in June 2021, after completing a rigorous tender exercise. This will include planned installations, ad-hoc maintenance and repairs, and out of hours service cover.

Since January 2021 we have donated a total of £16,922 to community projects. This has benefitted an allotment project, which aims to create pride on estates and boost mental health and wellbeing through practical gardening skills.

Another project is ‘Raising Aspirations’ which employs Youth Mentors to work with young people to inspire and encourage them to grow to their full potential as involved members of our community. Most recently we made a large £10k donation to Scunthorpe Imps amateur boxing club, as they were at risk of closure.

During lockdown we also took on the role of delivering care packages to those most in need, with more than 100 people benefitting.

Michelle Mills, Manager here at Hales and Coultas said: “We are delighted with how the last 12 months has gone, and are very grateful to have such a loyal existing customer base, and the ability to welcome new people too.

“The contracts we’ve secured and huge projects we’ve completed have all helped to reinvest profits back into community initiatives, so that we can improve the lives of local people.

“That work, and the things we’ve been doing to support the environment is something myself and my team are very proud of, and we can’t wait to continue going forward.”
